I say, why not celebrate with modern lighting instead? (At least you’d end up with less of a hangover the next day. ) In honor of St. Paddy’s Day, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite lighting fixtures, which also happen to be inspired by that most Irish of plants: the clover.
First, to our right, we have the Clove Pendant by Forecast Lighting. I really like this one because the curvy shape of the graphic clover outline adds interest and dimension to what otherwise would have been just a plain drum pendant.
Then, below, there’s the Maite Pendant by B.Lux, which takes the clover outline and deepens it even more. Its shade is three “leaves” of fabric curving deeply around the metal stem and central light source. Again, the effect is an interesting, multi-dimensional twist on the standard drum.
Perhaps my favorite of the bunch is the Clover Suspension by Kundalini. It takes the clover form and goes totally space age and 3D with it, with polyurethane molded into three distinct leaves that curve up and into themselves. It’s a fun and playful modern design that also creates a really cool pattern of light.
And finally, the luckiest of them all, the Tybo Collection by Modiss. It features not three, but four white glass spheres arranged into a four-leaf cluster. The collection features a floor lamp, a ceiling flushmount, a pendant and, the fixture shown below, a combo ceiling/wall light.
