Spring Interior Looks We Love

Written by Cody

Spring is in the air. And while we may pack away the heavy duvets and winter coats, we might not be ready to go as far as remodeling the house again now that the season has changed.

Small touches like decor, finishes and even colors can make a home feel ready for the change in seasons without changing out everything. Here are a few things I discovered among inspirations for a spring interior refresh:

Simplify the Space

Chunky textiles and thick rugs that were cozy for winter might make a space feel heavy come warmer weather. Minimizing or eliminating rugs and draperies lends a lighter and airier feel to spaces.

Make a Clean Slate

Spring cleaning? A minimal and monochromatic white palette highlights the absence of color and leaves the room feeling freshly scrubbed. If you think it looks a bit too stark, remember that selecting the right paint finish and texture can make this vision a bright and comfortable reality.

Adding Florals

Sure, florals + spring doesn’t feel like the most groundbreaking combination, but it doesn’t have to be cliche. A bold, geometric bloom delivered in a soft color creates a fresh visual punch without being overwhelming or too dramatic. The juxtaposition with solid, non-patterned surfaces creates a fresh feel.

Make a Cool Splash

With warmer weather comes more and more outside time. Outdoor spaces can be styled and coordinated just as nicely as your indoor rooms. White and blue is a classic combination, but used here in a more unconventional variant for a cool and relaxing poolside lounge space.

Bring the Sun Inside

Longer days and brighter mornings inspire sunshine-colored spaces. While using too much yellow can come off as extreme (and a bit too literal), the right shade and careful application the color can brighten any space and be livable and cheerful.

Find Your Easter Eggs

Don’t limit your pops of color to just one a year. Bright or pastel tones can add a great contrast to a neutral space like this. Just make sure that you are working within the same foundation tone, and the varied colors can work together perfectly.

Whether you go colorful or white, floral or minimalist, take the opportunity to embrace the spring interior refresh. Don’t be afraid to take these ideas and use them in your own way to help your personality and style shine through.
