We’re ginormous fans of the work from design studio Rich Brilliant Willing. After all, their name sums it up best—taken from the three design partners’ names (Theo Richardson, Charles Brill and Alexander Williams). Rich Brilliant Willing has designed for world-renowned companies like Roll & Hill and Innermost Lighting, as well as created a self-branded collection of lighting that we’re thrilled to offer at Lumens.com.
Formed in 2007 and followed by swift international success, the design trio is dedicated to innovation and using materials, colors and forms in new and unexpected ways. The Delta Collection, for example, was inspired by propulsion systems and rooftop vents. The Quart Lamp series came about from a spare can of paint and piping that was lying around the design studio. Rich Brilliant and Willing isn’t just a name, but points to their greatest design strength—reimagining what was already there, and turning it into something new and coveted. State-of-the-art technology makes the Rich Brilliant Collection high on output and low on energy use.
In addition to the collection, we caught up with the 3 designers to find out what inspires them, how they keep up with an ever-changing industry and why they do what they do (and do it so well). Check out the interview here.
