KAISER idell by Fritz Hansen

This year we were thrilled to introduce furniture by Fritz Hansen at, and more recently we have brought on the company’s KAISER idell lamp collection. Originally designed in the 1930s by German silversmith Christian Dell, the KAISER idell line represents the Bauhaus era and is now recognized as a classic design icon. These lamps became especially well-known in the 1960s as they appeared on TV on the desks of television detectives and earned the nickname “Inspector Lamp.” The asymmetrical design is a characteristic feature of the lamp design, which is made from steel and handpainted in the collection’s original colors. Beyond its sculptural good looks, the KAISER idell collection retains the design’s superb engineering, craftsmanship and originality. Click here to check out the collection.
